Aim

To provide learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to work safely in the offshore oil and gas industry. The digital delivery format allows delegates to complete the theoretical elements online before attending an OPITO-approved training centre for formal assessment and practical training.

Course Objective

The BOSIET with EBS – Digital Delivery course is designed to achieve the same learning outcomes as the standard BOSIET programme. On successful completion, delegates will have developed knowledge and practical competence in: • Offshore safety induction and emergency procedures • Helicopter safety and escape using an Emergency Breathing System (EBS) • Sea survival techniques • Emergency first aid • Basic firefighting • Self-rescue techniques in low-visibility and smoke-filled environments

Target Audience

This course is suitable for new or returning offshore personnel who require BOSIET certification and prefer a flexible blended-learning option. It is particularly suitable for individuals who wish to complete the theoretical components online before attending an approved training centre for the required practical exercises and assessments.
