DIGITAL T-BOSIET
Aim
The Tropical Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (T-BOSIET) course is designed to meet the initial offshore safety and emergency response training requirements for personnel working or travelling to offshore installations in tropical environments. The course provides delegates with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to work safely offshore and respond effectively during emergency situations.
Course Objective
On successful completion of the T-BOSIET course, delegates will be able to: • Recognise common offshore hazards and understand the controls used to reduce associated risks. • Understand offshore safety procedures and emergency response arrangements. • Demonstrate safe helicopter evacuation and underwater escape techniques. • Perform essential sea survival procedures and use appropriate survival equipment. • Demonstrate basic first aid techniques during offshore emergencies. • Respond appropriately to fire emergencies using suitable firefighting equipment. • Demonstrate self-rescue and emergency evacuation techniques. • Apply the knowledge and practical skills required to respond safely and effectively to offshore emergency situations.
Target Audience
The T-BOSIET course is suitable for personnel who are new to the offshore oil and gas industry or returning to offshore work and who require initial offshore safety and emergency response training for operations conducted in tropical regions. It is particularly relevant for personnel who may be required to travel to and from offshore installations by helicopter and work in offshore environments where tropical emergency response procedures apply.
