T-HUET

Aim

To prepare personnel travelling by helicopter to offshore installations in tropical environments with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to respond safely to helicopter emergencies, including ditching, underwater escape and sea survival situations.

Course Objective

Upon successful completion of the Tropical HUET (T-HUET) training, delegates will be able to: • Use appropriate helicopter safety and emergency equipment correctly. • Follow the required procedures during helicopter emergency situations. • Demonstrate effective actions during a simulated helicopter ditching. • Perform underwater escape techniques safely. • Apply essential sea survival techniques following an emergency evacuation. • Respond appropriately to offshore helicopter emergencies in tropical environments.

Target Audience

The Tropical HUET (T-HUET) course is designed for personnel who are new to, or returning to, the offshore oil and gas industry and who are required to travel to and from offshore installations by helicopter in tropical environments.
